As one of the leading food producers in the UK and Ireland, Northern Foods are now looking to recruit a Senior Production Planner to join our site in Nottingham.

The role

You will be accountable for effectively managing the daily running of the Planning function ensuring Customer Service Levels and Operational requirements are achieved in a cost effective manner.

The Senior Production Planner will be responsible for –

• Planning and preparing the team for NPD launches and promotions, liaising with 3rd Party Storage and Hauliers, ensuring all are aware of volume demands in advance.
• Ensure transport and storage is used in a cost effective manner, against sales and budget.
• Monitoring and reporting on KPI’s for the department , driving business performance forward.
• Providing direction, motivation and support to the team, identifying any training needs.
• Building strong relationships with the customer, responding to queries and dealing with any claims that arise.
• Reduce plant down time for stock outs on ingredients and packaging, challenge operations for planned inefficiencies.

Essential criteria

• Must be working in a similar role at Supervisory level, within food manufacturing or an FMCG environment.

Desirable criteria

• Understanding of SAP.

The role will be based at our Pizza Factory site, in Nottingham, the site employs 450 employees and produces Pizzas for the UK’s leading supermarkets.
